Meridian is at the epicenter of one of the fastest-growing regions in Idaho. This city is located in Ada County and claims a population of over 117,600 residents, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The city's proximity to Interstate 84 allows for a commute of approximately 20 minutes when driving to the capital of Idaho or Idaho's major airport. The city's amenities and location makes Meridian the hub of the region.

About Meridian

Meridian, Idaho's population has boomed within the last ten years. In 2010, the U.S. Census Bureau recorded approximately 75,000 residents in Meridian; however, by 2020, that number had increased to roughly 117,600 citizens. The growth has created a bustling city with large employers and many urban amenities. These large employers include Idaho Timber, Scentsy, CBH Homes, Hill Construction, and more.    

 

Meridian Attractions

Meridian has a multitude of amenities, including the Village at Meridian. This lively amalgamation of clothing stores, restaurants, entertainment businesses, and personal care businesses provides numerous activities for residents. Seasonally, residents can listen to live music, ice skate at the outdoor ice skating rink, and view colorful waterfall displays. The Idaho Art Gallery is another must-visit location. This gallery displays art by Idaho artists in multiple mediums and functions as a studio and event space. There are many enjoyable summer activities created by Meridian Parks and Recreation. The Sparklight Movie Night events are hosted by Meridian Parks and Recreation at Settlers Park from June until August.

 

Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park has a bicycle and pedestrian trail system, picnic structures, basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, and more. This 58-acre park is a summer favorite. For those hoping to cool down in the summer, the Roaring Springs Waterpark has refreshing and exciting attractions for all ages. Approximately 20 minutes from Meridian is the Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area. Bogus Basin offers activities from skiing and snowboarding in the winter months to mountain biking and scenic chairlift rides during non-winter seasons.
