This lively amalgamation of clothing stores, restaurants, entertainment businesses, and personal care businesses provides numerous activities for residents. Seasonally, residents can listen to live music, ice skate at the outdoor ice skating rink, and view colorful waterfall displays. The Idaho Art Gallery is another must-visit location. This gallery displays art by Idaho artists in multiple mediums and functions as a studio and event space. There are many enjoyable summer activities created by Meridian Parks and Recreation. The Sparklight Movie Night events are hosted by Meridian Parks and Recreation at Settlers Park from June until August.
Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park has a bicycle and pedestrian trail system, picnic structures, basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, and more. This 58-acre park is a summer favorite. For those hoping to cool down in the summer, the Roaring Springs Waterpark has refreshing and exciting attractions for all ages. Approximately 20 minutes from Meridian is the Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area. Bogus Basin offers activities from skiing and snowboarding in the winter months to mountain biking and scenic chairlift rides during non-winter seasons.
